The "#include" Server Side Include

"How do I use the #include command with my virtual server and what is the address I use for the directories?"

Use the #include directive to include files into your current html document. The "file=" or "virtual=" elements can both be used.

For example, let's say you were trying to include doc1.txt into doc2.html. Both documents exist in a directory called "docdir" in your main htdocs area.

To use either form of the #include ssi call in doc2.html to include doc1.txt in subdirectory "docdir" in your htdocs area:

    <!--#include file="doc1.txt" -->

    <!--#include virtual="/docdir/doc1.txt" -->

Notice that the "file" element is relative to the current document directory. The "virtual" element is relative to the main htdocs directory for the domain; the "/" implies starting at the htdoc directory root.
